Summary:

Our client, a unique building company in the steel construction sector is seeking smart and engaged individuals to join their growing sales organization. The sales team is the driving force behind growth. As an inside sales team member you must be a confident communicator as you represent the organization to the thousands of lead inquiries received each year from business owners, executives, and landowners. The clientele range from Fortune 100 companies to local businesses.

The inside sales position requires you to be an extraordinary communicator, persistent individual, quick learner, team player, and be dedicated to the industry.  Similar to an Account Executive, this position is responsible for managing a high volume of incoming inquiries with a goal of expanding the brand through selling product.  This position is also responsible for building and maintaining relationships with existing clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate new business through successful lead management and resulting sales
  • Exceed monthly established targets of building sales and revenue
  • Work within an established geographical area or industry to generate new business and increase revenue
  • Develop and maintains long-term customer relationships
  • Develop and maintain contact with key decision-makers within customer base
  • Manage business activities via the company’s CRM
  • Responds in a timely manner to all clients and potential clients inquiries
  • Develops and maintains product knowledge in order to provide Company’s available services, pricing structures for effective selling strategy
  • Generate and submits bids to customers as requested
  • Meet with Sales Manager as appropriate to review weekly sales activities and prospective customer calling activities

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in business management, marketing, or communications with excellent academic record
  • Ability to effectively use self confidence and persuasion to communicate and negotiate sales strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to manage clients throughout the sale life cycle
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities using a sense of urgency to situations and be willing to get involved in any capacity in order to increase the pace and achieve sales goals and objectives
  • Excellent ability to effectively express information and ideas both written and verbally
  • Hunger for meaningful work where you have an impact on making a difference
  • Inherent curiosity always searching for growth and development
  • Desire to be part of bright and action driven individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Indomitable spirit of Entrepreneurship with sharp business acumen
  • Proficient with PC/Windows format and operating system
  • Familiar and proficient with a CRM system
  • Must LOVE the art of selling
  • Proven 3 plus years experience with client development and account coordination in a consultative sales environment
  • Previous experience in construction and/or PEB industry sales a plus
